Spending A Day On Prayer And Reflection

THE Diocese of Central Melanesia has successfully completed a clergy and wives day of prayer and reflection held at the Saint Nicholas college hall on the 28th of January 2015.
The aim of the program is to help the clergy men and their wives as they prepare to go on for another new year.
Bishop of the Diocese, The Most Reverend David Vunagi who led the Bible study and reflection founded the topic based on the Ministry of John the Baptist.
“John in his Ministry is calling for repentance,” says Archbishop David in his brief sharing.
“Therefore, we must change on what is contrary to what God wants us to do;” he urged the clergy men.
“We are the ones to redirect those people who did wrong into right,” he added.
On the topic on ‘clergy care and spirituality’, the Diocesan Bishop who is also the Archbishop of Melanesia reminded his clergy men to maintain their working relationship with the people and the parishes they served.
“Working together with our people will come the support from our people” Archbishop said.
Provincial Mothers Union president, Mrs. Mary Vunagi in her presentation also urged the clergy wives to continue support their husbands in their ministry.
“Wives our commitment to our husbands is our best commitment to God” Mrs. Vunagi said.
