The Provincial Mothers Union Office in the Province of Melanesia now has a new President.
She is Mrs. Mary Vunagi, wife of the Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Melanesia The Most Rev. David Vunagi.
Mrs. Vunagi replaces Mrs. Edith Koete who successfully completed her three (3) year contract in the office.
Mrs. Vunagi was elected to the post on the 29th of August at the MU general conference meeting held at the Melanesian Haus, Honiara. Mary who already resumes duty in the PMU will be in the office for three year period.
Before elected to the post, Mrs. Vunagi was the Coordinator and Trainer of a ‘Positive Parenting Program’ a newly introduced program run Mothers Union.
Mrs. Edith Koete will continue to support the Positive Parenting Program out in the dioceses as a trainer.
