New Leaders For CSM

THE Community of the Sisters of Melanesia (CSM), has today elected new Head Sister and Assistant Head Sister at Veranaso the headquarters of the CSM, west Guadalcanal on the 1st of September 2016.

From the four candidates, Sr. Annie Alaha was elected to the post of Head Sister and Sr. Jessy Sai to the post of Assistant Head Sister.
Sr. Annie Alaha, the youngest in her family of eight came from Fanlei in South Malaita, Malaita Province and Sr. Jessie Sai from big Ngella, Central Province was also the youngest in the family of three.
Sr. Annie joined the Community of the Sisters of Melanesia in 2012 as Aspirant and admitted Novice in the same year. In 2015 she was admitted into Sisterhood.
Sr. Jessy joined the Community of the Sisters of Melanesia in 2011 as Aspirant and admitted Novice the same year and in 2014 she was admitted into Sisterhood.
According to the constitution of the community, they will serve as Head Sister and Assistant Head Sister for four years.
The election was made straight after the Great Conference that was officially opened on Sunday the 28th of August 2016.
The two new leaders were officially blessed and commissioned to their task as Head Sister and Assistant Head Sister by the Archbishop of Melanesia who is also the Father of the Sisterhood straight after the election.
Sr. Annie succeeds Sr. Collin Wobur and Sr. Jessy succeeds Sr. Becklyn Iwebu.
All members of the Church are urged to uphold Sr. Annie as new Head Sister and Sr. Jessy as the new Assistant Head Sister of the Community of the Sisters of Melanesia as they begin to take up their responsibilities.
