Dr. Abraham Hauriasi, General Secretary of the Anglican Church of Melanesia made the statement at the official closing of the Trauma and Counseling training held at the Christian Care Center (CCC) on Friday last week.

AS Part of their mission is to visiting the sick in the hospitals, prisoners in Correctional Service facilities, and helping those who are in need, the DIVINE MERCY MINISTRY of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Honiara have generously rendered assistance to victims of the recent Tsunami on Santa Cruz, in the Anglican Church of Melanesia (ACOM) diocese of the Temotu.

Community Development Skills Launched in Honiara

THE Anglican Alliance biggest capacity building programme, Agents of Change was launched in Honiara on the 11th July 2013. The ACOMBM Mission Secretary, Fr George Elo launched the study programme facilitated by the Anglican Alliance Pacific Facilitator, Tagolyn Kabekabe. A total of 11 participants are undertaking the program which will run for six months. The participants come from all works of life and are very enthusiastic about their participation.

This year 2013 marked the beginning of the practice of Pilgrimage as part of the celebration of the day of the Ini Kopuria, founder of the Melanesian Brotherhood (MBH), by the MBH in Southern region, in the diocese of Vanuatu. The MBH and Companions in the Regional Headquarter on the island of Ambae organized a week-long celebration from Sunday 2nd to Thursday 6th June 2013.
